sportMoray Recognition Awards 2009

The 2009 sportMoray Recognition Awards  took place on the 12th of November at the Eight Acres Hotel.  The quality of all the individuals and teams who were short-listed were absolutely outstanding and the judging panel had an almost impossible task to select an individual winner overall in each of the categories.  The Award Winners were as follows:-   

SALSC Local Service to Sport Award - Bill Nicol - Curling.

Moray Council - Junior Sportswoman Award - Eleanor Duncan - Athletics.

Moray Leisure Centre - Senior Team Award - Elgin Eagles - Basketball.

Diageo - Club Level Award - George Grant - Bowling.

Campbell & McConnachie - Sports Person Of The Year Award - Peter Ettles - Cycling.

Moray College - Junior Sportsman Award - Alan Clark - Swimmimg.

Northern Scot - Junior Team Award - Forres Bluefins Swimming Club.

sportMoray - Coach Award - Carol Matheson - Tennis.

Elgin Rotary - Special Achievement Award - Natasha Adkinson - Para Equestrian Dressage.

Campbell & McConnachie - Sports Person Of The Year Award - Frank Barton - Athletics.

Moray College - Junior Sportsman Award - Lee Miller - Rugby.

Northern Scot - Junior Team Award - Elgin Ice Hockey Club.

sportMoray - Coach Award - Grant McPherson & Alan Thomson - Swimming.

Elgin Rotary - Special Achievement Award - Moray Wheelchair Curlers.
